The school for good and evil by Soman Chainani (Book Review)

📍 This is a story about a world where people are divided in two parts - good and evil.

📍 The story starts in a village named Gavaldon, here lives two girls - Agatha and Sophie. There have been kidnappings of boys and girls in their village for a few years now. Then later they find out about the books with fairy tales of the kids kidnapped from their village.

📍 Sophie is sure that she is going to be taken this year at the school for good. Agatha doesn't want her friend to be kidnapped. She tries to stop the thing which is taking away her friend away from her. In which she fails and gets herself kidnapped with Sophie. Sophie is excited to see the new adventurous world. She can see the school for good and the school for evil.

📍 The story takes a turn when Agatha gets chosen to the school for good and Sophie to school for the evil. Here in these schools ordinary boys and girls gets trained to be heroes and villains of their own fairy-tale.

📍 The story started in a interesting manner, it binds you to the book to read more in the story. It was all good, the world making, the characterization, but the ending wasn't good at all. I just didn't like it. It could have been better.

📍 I liked how somethings matched with the Harry Potter world making. Like having required classes in your individual schools and then having one class including both good and evil. Then hearing thoughts or talking to the animals as Harry could talk to the snake. And having endless woods where you aren't allowed to go. So it was a good read overall. The writing is okayish, the language is simple. The ending could be better.

If you have read the book then let me know your thoughts.
