In The Name Of The Lord : A Nun's Tell-All(Book Review)

 📍 Have you ever imagined being a nun would stop you from eating mangoes from your own living convent? Well, this and many more such secrets are revealed in this book, In The Name Of The Lord.


📍 This is the story of a woman who turned towards a new society for herself because she wanted to live the life of a nun. 


📍 In the name of the lord, the title of the book is very apt for this story. The author has described everything that occurs in the name of the Lord, in churches, to women, by powerful men.


📍 She has talked about the struggles she had faced living there because of everyone in power, not only men but women as well, who didn't have the same thoughts as her. She wanted to help every person in need, no matter who he or she was. She just wanted to be there for him/her. She helped many people in her life, no matter how many people stopped her on her way.


📍 The author has talked about the rapes that happened to the nuns working there. How they all struggled to fight for themselves.


📍 The language used is quite good in the book, using new syllables and new words. The book is kind of a must-read one.


📍 Still, I struggled very hard to continue it till the very end, as the story couldn't keep me to the pages, so I had to keep pressing myself to finish the book. So that was a point that could have been better in the book.

 📍 This is a story of a little girl of high school - Zoe. 📍 She has started seeing things, dreams- weird dreams. She has started making a world in her head.  📍 She has started realizing that she is not in a good condition. Still she wants to be in this new world. She sees characters she reads about, watches in movies.  📍 She has got one friend Meg, who tries to help her in getting out of this situation.  📍 The thoughts shared in the book are so good. The writer has done quite a good work writing this short book. While being so young the author has written a very beautiful book.  📍 The language of the book is easily understandable.  📍  This book is about two Mexican-American teens trying to find their way in the world, but before they do that, they find each other.  📍 These two teens are Aristotle and Dante, the former guy Ari is a self-doubting silent guy, and Dante is an expressive guy who loves poetry as well.  📍 We experience the story from Ari’s perspective.
