Destined to die by Varun Mathpal (Book Review)
📍 This story starts with a scene at a police station. There is this person who is drenched with blood, telling his side of story to detective Katelyn.
📍 What he told at the police station was hard to believe but somehow Katelyn did believe his emotions, she was good at reading people so she could tell that he wasn't telling a lie. But how was this possible, what this man was telling her.
📍 He told her that he heard someone screaming, it was a girl's voice, he ran after the voice as hard as he could, but nothing could be seen, he told himself that he was imagining things as he was drunk. But as soon as he turned around, the mist was gone and everything was visible. He couldn't believe what he saw next. He saw 17 graves there, they were nameless. He couldn't feel anything good around himself. It felt like there was something evil.
📍 Then comes a new character in the story - Warren Parish. Warren and Katelyn had some history. They were kind of in love with each other but something happened and now they were meeting after 7 long years.
📍 What's his role in the story? Is this man, at police station, telling the truth? What happened there really? Will Warren and Katelyn be able to forget the past? Is there something evil? Why the title of the book is destined to die? Is there someone who is destined to die?
📍 Read the book to find out such things and much more in the story.
📍 I liked how the story started, how the characters were introduced one by one, so easily, how the story was moving forward, how the things were connected, how the author kept it interesting page by page.
📍 The story is quite interesting which will hook you to the pages of the book. The characters are well introduced as the story moves forward, the narration of the story is done really well. The language of the book is lucid, beginners can also go for this.
